Prayer and Praise Updates

Hi everyone! I just wanted to update you on some prayer requests and praises. First of all I wanted to praise God for my 16th birthday last week and for that wonderful day! Secondly, although I had not posted anything before hand, our former pastor’s daughter had their first baby Wednesday. Pray for grace as they raise this little girl! Finally, please pray for my “adopted grandparents,” Pastor Alligood and Mrs. Peggy and they will be heading back to Texas later this week or next. If you have any prayer requests of praises you would like shared please feel free to comment or send it in through the “Contact” page.

Big Scare With Peyton

Hi everyone, Wow! It was a crazy night last night with my brother Peyton. Last night he had a high temp and came into my parents room where my mom and I were talking out of his mind. When he turned to walk out of the room he nearly passed out, collapsing into the wall where he hit his head. When my dad got upstairs he was in the floor, disoriented and said he felt like he could vomit. When dad helped stand him up he started shaking involuntarily and nearly fell face first in the hall.  It was very scary. Thankfully our neighbor is a nurse and the EMT’s where here within 10 minutes. Thy think it was a simple fever and dehydration. Mom and Dad slept down stair, with him on the couch. Peyton is doing much better today. He seems to be getting over the stomach virus and just running a low grade fever right now. He is tired but seems much better this morning. Please continue to pray for his healing. Thanks so much!

Prayer Request Update

Prayer Request & Praises

1. Please continue to keep Mexico in your prayers. In the past six weeks at least two Americans were shot and killed as a result of the drug cartels in Mexico. Also, Over 35,000 people have been murdered by drug cartels since the President of Mexico, Felipe Calderón, took office five years ago.

2. PRAISE: Many of you saw and heard about the Craft family who was traveling up through Mexico a couple of weeks ago. I received word a couple days later that they had safely made it to the US border and had arrived earlier than planned. Please continue to pray for them that God would bless them through their travels in the states and his protection as they travel back through Mexico in several months.

The Craft Family

3. Nations around the world with rioting and protesting and the Christians in these countries.

4. Please be in prayer for the countries of Lebanon and Yemen and some missionaries there a friend of mine has been in contact with. He said the gospel is getting out to the Muslims in the area and there appears to have been a few conversions as well. Please pray for the safety of these missionaries, the growth of these converts and the continued spread of the gospel and salivations.

5. Please pray for a friend of mine who has been having some heart trouble and is having some tests done. Pray that God would give the doctors wisdom and heal whatever this is.

Urgent Prayer for a Friend

A friend of mine posted this note on facebook and asked to spread the word. Please pray for this young lady and for the family.  Thanks! -Haley

Prayers are needed in this family badly.

Back last December, my 21-year old cousin was taken into the hospital for heart failure as a result of a rare disorder that caused her to be born with a heart that was not 100% developed. She was back in earlier this month for similar reasons. Her heart was “booted” back up both times.

She went back in last night due to liver problems, and the doctors have determined her heart is failing on her (as in, “point of no return” failing). They’ve got a heart for her, and they are planning a heart transplant within the next 48 hours, possibly as soon as tonight.

Grandma is hysterical, I don’t even want to know how Grandpa is right now. There is no word from her end of the family (probably would put grandparents to shame with the hysteria), and my end is BEYOND distraught. As my brother is currently at school, he doesn’t have a clue what’s going on for now, but that’ll change really fast in about 2 hours.

Dad’s looking at going up this evening to be tested for blood type and to donate blood if we can. God willing, we’ll see her before she goes in. That’s all I want. Whether God takes her or not, all I ask for is one time to see her.

I’ll try to keep you informed, but it may be difficult given the circumstances.

Scatter this as well. Repost on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter, etc. I don’t care who you tell, I don’t care how you tell it, but this has GOT to get out.
