Prank It Forward – Feeding the Homeless

Several weeks ago I was on facebook or youtube and came across this video. The title got my attention so I spent 5 minutes and watched this video. It was very moving and I wanted to share it with y’all. Take 5 minutes and watch, and then consider what you can do with the means that God has given you to help and bless those around you!

Complete in Thee Hymn

This past Wednesday I was at church and we opened the service singing this hymn called “Complete in Thee.” I immediately loved the hymn and looked it up to listen to when I got home. I have been listening to it non-stop since Wednesday night. I pray it is an encouragement and blessing to you. I’m sure it will become one of your favorites and it has mine! (The lyrics are below the video.)

Complete in Thee Lyrics:
Complete in Thee! no work of mine
May take, dear Lord, the place of Thine;
Thy blood hath pardon bought for me,
And I am now complete in Thee.

Yea, justified! O blessed thought!
And sanctified! Salvation wrought!
Thy blood hath pardon bought for me,
And glorified, I too, shall be!

Complete in Thee—no more shall sin,
Thy grace hath conquered, reign within;
Thy voice shall bid the tempter flee,
And I shall stand complete in Thee.

Complete in Thee—each want supplied,
And no good thing to me denied;
Since Thou my portion, Lord, wilt be,
I ask no more, complete in Thee.

Dear Savior! when before Thy bar
All tribes and tongues assembled are,
Among Thy chosen will I be,
At Thy right hand—complete in Thee.

My Favorite Hymn: Rock of Ages

Hey everyone!

Recently I saw another Christian blogger post her favorite hymn on her blog and I thought I would share mine. Mine is Rock of Ages; it has always been such and encouraging, powerful hymn to me. While most people do not know it, there is a different, newer version of the song that I actually prefer to the original tune. You can listen to it below as well as read the lyrics:

Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
let me hide myself in thee;
let the water and the blood,
from thy wounded side which flowed,
be of sin the double cure;
save from wrath and make me pure.

Not the labors of my hands
can fulfill thy law’s commands;
could my zeal no respite know,
could my tears forever flow,
all for sin could not atone;
thou must save, and thou alone.

Nothing in my hand I bring,
simply to the cross I cling;
naked, come to thee for dress;
helpless, look to thee for grace;
foul, I to the fountain fly;
wash me, Savior, or I die.

While I draw this fleeting breath,
when mine eyes shall close in death,
when I soar to worlds unknown,
see thee on thy judgment throne,
Rock of Ages, cleft for me,
let me hide myself in thee.

I pray this song is a great encouragement to you and a reminder of the great salvation we have in the Lord Jesus Christ. As the song says, nothing in my hand I bring, simply to the cross I cling. I would love to hear what your favorite hymn is! Comment below and share your own thoughts and comments!

Summit Tennessee 2012 Slideshow

As many of you know I just got back Saturday afternoon from spending two weeks in Dayton, Tennessee at Summit Ministries world view camp. It was fantastic and I will write more on that later. For right now, I thought I would share the video that was shown on graduation night with pics from our time at Summit. Enjoy!

Dear readers of,

What a privilege to be asked to post on this website with Haley! I wish to express my gratitude to her for extending the invitation to me. I have followed her website for about six months now, and I am really looking forward to writing with her.
I wish to say a few things in introduction to give you an idea of my vision, passion, and walk with our Lord, so you can know perhaps a little bit about me.
I was saved in February of 2011 after a long period of doubt and questions. God showed me the truth of His Word early one morning while reading the scriptures, including such passages as Psalm 51 and Romans 9. Since my salvation, God has developed in me a passion for global missions. Currently, it is my earnest desire to go to Africa as a full-time missionary as soon as my education is complete (about five more years).
Some of my Christian heroes include Charles Spurgeon, Paul Washer, David Breinard, David Livingston, CT Studd, Jim and Elizabeth Elliot, Eric and Leslie Ludy, John Piper, John MacArthur, DA Carson, Katie Davis, George Wittfield, Richard Wurmbrand, Gladys Aylward, Esther Ahn-Kim, and Helen Rosevera.
My favorite portions of Scripture (if I could limit myself to a few!) Might include Job 38-41, Romans 9, Psalm 119, Psalm 23, Hebrews 11, 1 Corinthians 10, John 19-20,2 Coronicles 17:14-22, Matthew 28, and the books of Proverbs.
In my free time, I also enjoy drawing and writing. Generally, I write historical fiction and base my drawings off scenes from those books 🙂
AS I said, I am really looking forward to posting with Haley! This website is a medium that I pray God will use to reach many people.

Video Series: Fabulous Life of a Teenager by Alex and Brett Harris

Many of you have heard of Alex and Brett Harris and their impact in making teens realize there is more to their teen years than ‘taking a vacation from responsibility.’ I have read their book Do Hard Things and would recommend it to any teen. I saw on their website theses awesome videos. I hope you take a few minutes to watch them and apply them to your life. God bless!

Alex and Brett Harris

“According to popular belief, being a teenager is a fabulous life. Wild parties, flashy clothes, shiny gear—the whole decade is basically a vacation from responsibility. But God has something more in mind. Our youth is a launch pad into His mission for our life. When we reset our expectations for our time as teenagers, we will accomplish things for God that are far more fabulous than we could imagine.”-Alex and Brett Harris

This is a wonderful song sung by Abigail Miller. It is a prayer to God for revival in America. Enjoy and keep our country in prayer that God would “turn the tide.”
